GOT ‘EM.

To: MG
From: TBF
Subject: We have tickets to the last game

I got us Upper Box tickets.
In front of Upper Reserved 25.
Face value = $94.
We paid = $232.

In the end, about $15 more than I wanted to pay but I think it will be worth it for the Upper Box and not having idiots in front of us all game.

I know, you’re all saying ‘WTF?’, and my own Magic Number over there on the left was predicated on us going to this game. We never really worried about it; we can get into anything; we kept saying ‘worst case scenario we wait half an inning outside and the prices will drop,’ TBF didn’t want to pay $100 a ticket a few months ago. But the prices aren’t dropping, people are paying $270 for UR section 42 row V, and we were getting a little nervous.

I’ve been watching Stubhub for a while now.  There has been a little downward pressure on prices, but not very much.

I think you got a really good price.  Those are less than most (all?) UR on Stubhub, nevermind that you got a box.

I’m ready to pull the trigger in the next day or so.

We actually got these on eBay, which we prefer. With StubHub you have to pay that idiotic $15 service fee AND then a percentage on top of that, which makes the listed prices deceiving in the extreme.

We could have gotten something better/cheaper over Labor Day. People who don’t know eBay do silly things like schedule auctions that end on a holiday weekend, when most people aren’t online, but in a couple of instances we just forgot about the auction closings. sigh.

Sweet. Enjoy the game.

I totally agree on Stubhub.  The ticket prices are higher than Ebay for the final game BEFORE the large fees!!!!

You can get a sense of the market, but it’s not a good place to buy.

You’ll have to come over and say hi--we’re in section 19, row H.

Boyf said we should sell our tix, but there’s no way I’m missing a damn thing.

THIS WIIL MAKE YOU SICK. Went on line to Mets.com on Sat Sept 27 and got Loge Box 306 Sect 2 seat 4.
After 22 years of being a Saturday Plan Holder I knew the never tell the truth. Sorry you had to pay so much for chit seats!
