IRON CITY BLUES.

Ted Berg posted today that he thought this would have been the day for the Post to break out the Putz headline they have undoubtedly been waiting for - except that, of course, the Post has convenient insomnia regarding the fact that there are two teams in New York and the MFY’s doing well is better copy than the Mets doing badly.

My response:

I know it is just one game. But we had this game. They should have won this game. It is like someone pissed off the magical genie that vested the B-lineup with their magical powers, so they returned and took back all the wishes they granted.

If they take the next two games and firmly trounce the Nationals I will take back that panicked feeling. But I think it is okay to feel a bit panicked when everyone is sick or injured and who isn’t sick or injured seems to be getting sick or injured, and Tim Redding is an abomination and Ollie isn’t coming back any time soon and we might see Carlos Delgado in September if we’re lucky and who knows when Jose Reyes is coming back?

I think if you’re not just a little concerned, that something is wrong with you. Instead of the opposite.
