OFF TO FENWAY.
We had an insufferable blowhard sitting behind us in the Upper Deck last year. He was the kind of guy who would show up around about the third inning and would be booed by the section as he walked up the stairs. One of his favorite sayings to berate us with was ‘SUPPORT YOUR METS’. No matter how hard we cheered, we weren’t cheering hard enough in his estimation.
Well, dammit, it’s time to Support Your Mets. I’m heading to Fenway wearing my grey REYES jersey tonight, my BELTRAN shirt (purchased today, because I am tired of him getting beaten into the ground) tomorrow. Frankly, I am tired of both of them being beaten into the ground. But that’s a subject to get into on another day.
For those of you at Fenway Friday night, nice job representing the away team. See you in Boston! Full reports after each game, and you can follow along on Twitter.
p.s. Thank you Gary Cohen for mentioning YOUR dislike of “Sweet Caroline” at Citi Field! I believe the quotes were “the fans actually like it here” and “Maybe the folks at Citi Field can find a different song”. YES!

Hope you have a wonderful time (not TOO wonderful you understand!). It was interesting to note all the Reyes jerseys/t-shirts last night.
I bought a JD Drew t-shirt in 2007 for the same reason you bought your Beltran shirt and wore it on the road!
Looking forward to meeting you Sunday!
