THIS IS IT.

Mets Santana Baseball

I have been in meetings all day, uptown and downtown, and surrounded by Yankees fans. The press conference is taped on the DVR and I imagine we will order something nice and sit and watch it together.

That’s our idea of a good night at Chez MetsGrrl + TBF.

I haven’t peeked beyond the pictures. I just want that classic press conference moment when he puts on the jersey and the hat. So formulaic, but the formula is part of the appeal.

More later, but for now (and especially for my friends from the great state of Minnesota):

Thanks for the pics.  I’m so glad that Johan’s number remains 57.  Keep the Santana news coming.

Yes, that’s one of the most depressing pictures I’ve ever seen.  (In sports, not in the real world.)  Still, please do keep us updated on Johan.

I would say something like, I guess this is how I would feel if we traded Jose Reyes or David Wright, but maybe it’s not even that.

Can I offer condolences and not sound smarmy? Because I really do want to offer condolences in a sincere fashion… while still being ecstatic we got Johan.

if you ever come to shea, beer is on me.

and where is lipgloss & baseball??!

What a lovely picture. I can’t wait until May when I get to see him in person. And if I’m lucky he’ll pitch on my birthday when the boys will be here in June.

I still can’t believe he’s a Met.

Thanks for the great posts that keep me informed about the Mets. Mets info is of course had to come by here in Rox country.
