i’ll take a sloppy win over a sloppy loss any day.  plus, the braves got pounded so we’re back to 2 1/2 up.  however, it’s unlikely that willie will let these guys forget that they stunk like fish for most of the night.

I know a win is a win. I know. But it’s not scrappy baseball or small ball, it’s incompetent. How many of our runs were scored by luck?

I know shawnie is hot but I don’t think it’s a bad thing having 27 out there.

as i’m sure you must know by now, baseball players are only human—and The Mess have a long, um, proud history of being less than perfect.  i just can’t help loving them (and their “luck” has always been a big part of it...Bill Buckner’s legs, anybody?)

Fuck that! The Mets played like ass against the Braves and it was only an incompetent Marlins defense and coaching staff that kept them from going completely in the shitter.

I’ll take anything we can get at this point… and even though we can’t beat the Braves, apparently other teams can.... so we’ll just let them, and hopefully at the end of the season we’ll be far enough ahead that it won’t matter if we beat them in September. Fingers crossed.

I am flattered that everyone thinks these pictures are mine. Almost everything on here was taken by me, and everything in this season up until now for sure. These were just grabbed off of the wire service - anyone can see those. I would have made a point of giving attribution but they were distributed EVERYWHERE so I thought everyone would recognize them!
