WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?
Last year, our post-season invoices were waiting in our mailbox when we arrived home after trouncing the Cardinals on August 22nd, 2006. We paid them immediately, and our seating locations were outstanding. Our friends with seats on the loge, who have been plan holders for three times longer than I have been, were on vacation, and didn’t pay their invoice until a week later. Their seats were in the upper deck. Lessons learned.
Accordingly, TBF has been logging in to mets.com every single day to see if the invoice link was online yet. He also emailed the Mets at the beginning of the month, who told him: “Thank you for your email. Once the league gives us permission to invoice our ticket holders we will do so. At this time we do not have any prices and would not know when they would be available.”
“Fine,” said TBF. “Now I just need to make the time to harass MLB for this information.”
While I was working today, TBF did a little research, and found out that the following teams have already invoiced their fans:
Arizona Diamondbacks
Detroit Tigers
Los Angeles Angels
Philadelphia Phillies
San Diego Padres
Seattle Mariners
So where the hell are ours?
Smart money says we’ll see them this week. Be prepared!!

Ahhh, the benefits of being a full season holder ;-)
I’ve had a six or seven game pack (depending on what the Mets offered that year) since 1999. Last year, we had five tickets for each game. But, when the invoice came, it said we were only allowed four tickets to one playoff game. So, one of us didn’t get to go. How lame is that? Our seats were in mezzanine sec. 12. We ordered the playoff tickets right away, and wound up in the last section in right field.
What do you mean? in the public sale? as a plan holder? we’re talking about plan holders. unless you have your season or plan in the loge already, the mets aren’t going to move you down from the upper deck to the loge.
as for the public sale, for the playoffs it’s a situation where you should consider yourself lucky to be in the building.
if you log into the Mets ticket sales windowon mets.com, there is now a postseason payment link. I guess our postseason account numbers are different though because I can’t activate it?
Now I just have to hope someone’s home at 11 to get my mail to see if I can find the account number there.
Well then, I got home from the game (*sigh* Did get a post out of it about Citi Field at least..), decided to check the ticket thing again, and it worked. I paid my $1516(ouch), and am all set.
I’ll keep an eye out. Last year I was only a six pack holder, this is my first year as a mini-plan (saturday) holder. If paying fast will really get me in ahead of others, I’ll have to make sure to pay immediately upon receipt of whatever notice it is that they send.
